Anytime you file a liability claim against an insurance policy, the activity is report to the Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange, or CLUE. Your CLUE score is then accessed by insurance companies when you apply for new coverage or renewals, and your premiums will be based, in part, on the results of your CLUE score.
The information they report is one sided, and subjective in nature. Credit reports at least give an individual to dispute what's in their file. There is no provision for this with CLUE reports. I accept responsibility for my own actions, but it's obvious that USAA thinks they have me over a barrel, and are taking advantage of the situation.
I have USAA also and had to file a huge claim for hail damage that equaled $17,000 for home repairs, $15,000 for one vehicle and a complete total on another car that was paid out at around $22,000 (Thanks Colorado, for that lovely Welcome we received a few months after we moved here!).Weaver 330 scope
